So the theme of this week's contest is RED. Being Valentine's Day and all, I think what they were going for was romantic red, but that's not the way things are interpreted in our little corner of the globe. Nope. Here, it's a little more like this:February+RED=Chinese New Year
Which of course involves days and days of fireworks going off from sunrise to sunset.
I love how the whole mood of this picture is red, rather than it just being one isolated accent color. The sparkler just amps up the hotness of it. And the smoke circling his face gives it kind of a Harry Potter-ish element.

I really love the picture. Beautifully done. Way to incorporate red! Firecrackers are so exciting for kids, aren't they?
The face is slightly out of focus, but the superb composition more than makes up for it. Well done. --James
